About the company
A young Kenyan company built on an old-fashioned idea.
Do what you said you would do, by the date you said you would do it.
Soland Enterprises Limited is a youth-owned private limited company, incorporated in Kenya in October 2019 and based in the Nairobi city centre. We print, brand, fit out offices and supply the everyday items that keep organisations running.
We started the way many Kenyan businesses start: one order at a time, for clients who were tired of being let down. Printing and branding is still the largest part of what we do, and it brought us into offices where the next question was usually the same — can you also supply our stationery, our toner, our cleaning materials? We could, so we did.
Today a single client can order business cards, branded shirts, a boardroom partition, a year of printing paper and the cleaning supplies for their washrooms, and receive one quotation, one delivery and one invoice.
Our owner is involved in the business every day. Not as a name on a certificate, but as the person who answers when something goes wrong and makes sure it does not go wrong twice. Behind that is a small team of finance, operations, supervision and technical staff who understand procurement and respect deadlines.
Our vision
To grow into a leading, progressive and friendly institution — committed to excellence and efficiency, and to be your preferred partner in business.
Our mission
To provide quality services efficiently, and to build and keep a team of motivated, committed professionals with a strong work ethic who embrace technology.
Our strength: attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and commitment — on every order, large or small.
What we value
Seven things we will not trade away.
These are not slogans on a wall. They are the reasons clients send us the next order.
Integrity and ethics
We do the right thing, even when nobody is checking and it costs us the margin.
Responsibility
We own our commitments and their outcomes. If we get it wrong, we fix it.
Responsiveness
We answer the phone, reply to the email, and add real value to every service.
Continuous improvement
We look for better ways to serve, and adopt the technology that helps.
Listening to feedback
Client feedback is the most dependable guide we have, so we ask for it.
Professional conduct
The highest standard of conduct in every dealing, with clients and suppliers alike.
Loyalty with fairness
We stay loyal to our clients in ways that are fair to everyone and serve the public interest.
How we are organised
A lean team with clear lines of responsibility.
Every account has an owner, from the director's desk down to the technician who delivers and installs. Nobody has to wonder who to call.
- Directors — day-to-day involvement, and the final word on quality
- Accounts & finance manager — quotations, invoicing and supplier payments
- Operations manager — sourcing, production and delivery schedules
- Accounts clerk — documents, delivery notes and reconciliation
- Project supervisors — site work, installation and snag lists
- Drivers & technicians — delivery, set-up and after-sales support
The work we do ends up in offices like this one: partitioned, furnished, stocked and branded.
